If you are interested in becoming a plastic surgeon, is to earn an undergraduate degree. In order to qualify for medical school, you will need to earn a degree in the sciences. It may be helpful to study biology, chemistry, mathematics, or engineering. Once you finish your undergraduate degree, you can take the MCAT and apply for medical school. It may be beneficial to research the professors at different schools in order to find doctors who specialize in reconstructive surgery.
You will spend four years studying medicine before you earn your Doctor of Medicine. After you complete medical school, you will need to apply for a residency program. First you will need to complete a residency in general surgery, and then you will need to enroll in a fellowship program for reconstructive surgery. Extensive training will prepare you to perform surgery on your patients.
Dr. Gary Horndeski has been practicing medicine for more than three decades. He spent fourteen of those years developing the Horndeski Method. He specializes in cutting-edge, industry-leading breast lifts and  reductions. The Horndeski Method offers women the option of a breast lift without implants or vertical surgical scars.
