Dr. Gary Horndeski: Using the Bellesoma Method

Dr. Gary Horndeski became a plastic surgeon because he wanted to help people look and feel better about themselves. After working in a few places in the United States for the early parts of his career, including in North Dakota, he settled in the Houston area of Texas, an area known for its excellent medical centers and research. Horndeski eventually started his own practice in Sugar Land, just southeast of Houston and the famous medical center there. It was in this environment that Dr. Gary Horndeski started working on a new way to perform breast lift and reduction surgeries. After fourteen years in the making, has perfected what is now called the Bellesoma Method.

The Bellesoma Method  is a different way of performing breast reduction and breast lift surgery. Instead of relying on the patient’s skin to hold the breast in place, such as in traditional breast lift and reduction procedures, Dr. Gary Horndeski instead binds the breast to the patient’s chest muscle, ensuring that it will hold its position and shape over time. While skin stretches out and sometimes requires additional work to fix issues over time, the Bellesoma Method (also known as the Horndeski Method,)ensures that patients won’t need corrective action. Another draw of the Bellesoma Method for many of Dr. Gary Horndeski’s patients is the lack of vertical scarring that usually accompanies surgeries like this.

Dr. Gary Horndeski has found a solution to an issue that has plagued both plastic surgeons and their patients for years. The scars can be very noticeable after breast repositioning or lift surgery. While there is no way around scarring completely in these procedures, thanks to Dr. Gary Horndeski, there is now a way to at least reduce the appearance of them.
